Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older, that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that all information you provide (including your date of birth) is accurate. We may ask you to verify your age or identity at any time and may suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe belong to a person under 18.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity on your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. One account per person — creating multiple accounts, impersonating another person, or using someone else's photos or identity is prohibited and may result in immediate termination.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

New accounts receive a 24-hour free trial with full access to the Service. After the trial ends, continued access requires a paid Premium subscription, currently priced at GHS 39.99 per month, billed in advance and processed by our payment partner, Paystack. Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not provide partial refunds for unused time except where required by law. Prices may change with notice posted on the Service or sent to your registered phone number/account.

4. Your Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse any other user;
• Post or send content that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, or infringes someone else's rights;
• Impersonate any person, or misrepresent your age, identity, or affiliation;
• Solicit money, gifts, or financial information from other users, or engage in any scam or fraud;
• Use the Service for any commercial solicitation, advertising, or automated scraping without our consent;
• Attempt to circumvent phone verification, account bans, or the usage limits attached to your plan.

We may investigate and take any action we deem appropriate, including removing content, suspending, or permanently terminating accounts that violate these Terms, without refund.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the photos, bio, and other content you upload ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant IntroDates a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute it within the Service for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you and other users (for example, showing your profile to people in your Discover feed). You are solely responsible for your User Content and confirm you have the right to share it.

6. Safety & Meeting Other Users

This section is important — please read it carefully. IntroDates verifies phone numbers via SMS one-time code, but we do not conduct criminal background checks, identity verification beyond phone number, or any screening of users, and we cannot and do not guarantee that any user is who they claim to be, is free of criminal history, or will behave safely or lawfully. You are solely responsible for your own safety and judgment when communicating with or meeting other users, online or in person.

We strongly recommend that you:

• Never send money, gifts, or financial/account information to someone you met on IntroDates;
• Meet for the first time in a public place and tell a friend or family member where you're going;
• Use your own transportation to and from a first meeting;
• Trust your instincts and report any suspicious, abusive, or unlawful behaviour to us and, where appropriate, the police.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IntroDates is not responsible or liable for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline, and is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from your interactions with other users, including in-person meetings arranged through the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that any particular results (matches, conversations, relationships) will occur, or that any information provided by other users is accurate or truthful.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IntroDates and its owners, operators, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or personal safety, arising from or related to your use of the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent any liability is not excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the three (3) months before the claim arose, or (b) GHS 100. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based and does not limit liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (for example, liability for our own fraud or gross negligence).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IntroDates and its owners, operators, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions with any other user, including any in-person meeting.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in unlawful conduct, or created risk or legal exposure for us or other users.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana, unless the parties agree in writing to resolve the dispute through arbitration.
